In 1994, George Konstantopoulos founded the sole proprietorship alkon-KONSTANTOPOULOS, which operates in aluminium and steel constructions and is based in Agios Dimitrios.
The headquarters of the construction division is relocated to 62 Agion Saranta Street, Agios Dimitrios.
The company’s upward trajectory and increased needs lead to the acquisition of a plot in the industrial zone of Keratea for the construction of a production plant (B.I.O.PA. Keratea, Attica). In the same year, Christina, daughter of G. Konstantopoulos, becomes actively involved in the business.
The production process peaks with the undertaking of numerous important public and private projects, leading to stable long-term collaborations with major construction companies and prominent architectural firms.
In March, the construction of the factory begins, with a total area of 3,000 m².
The construction of the new factory is completed, and in September the production is relocated to Keratea, equipped with new state-of-the-art machinery, model facilities, and infrastructure. The company is now firmly established in the Greek market, and Katerina, also a daughter of G. Konstantopoulos, takes an active role in the business.
The company changes its branding and refreshes its corporate identity with a new logo: “decision of quality”.
The company begins operating internationally, undertaking projects that steadily increase every year.
The showroom in Agios Dimitrios is renovated. A new, modern space featuring a wide range of contemporary constructions and new administrative offices.

Entry of the company into international markets through the undertaking of private projects in England, Cyprus, Qatar, and Egypt.
Modernization of machinery at the company’s factory and strengthening of production capacity through the purchase of a new machining center and a new saw from the company FOM, as well as the installation of new lifting equipment and a new overhead crane.
Start of collaborations with major construction companies and undertaking of significant projects in Athens, particularly in the southern suburbs, such as the large residential project in Elliniko, where the company is actively involved.
